Chapter 1

When I first looked over the chapter, it seems to given an overview on how
to write summaries and explain the steps in writing.
The author is probably going to talk about plagerism problems and how to avoid it when writing. I feel that I am pretty responsible when it comes to citing my sources and avoiding plagerism. I hope that I will about how learn more in the summary portion of this chapter. I often struggle when I have to summarize documents. It's difficult to know what information should go in the summary to give a good outline without giving too much information or too little.

The chapter did cover the topics I mentioned but it also talked about
how to analyze a text and how to pick out important to break a document down and how to pick important information that should be in your summary. This section was very useful for me. Somethings the chapter talked about that I did not talk about where how to pick quotations and put them into the paper. Also, it demonstrates how to add words or omit words out of a quoted sentence.
